What is the Hume Body Pod, exactly?
An at-home body composition scale. Step on, hold the included handheld sensor bar for a few seconds, and it reads body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat, and 42 other metrics — validated at 98% DEXA-level accuracy.
Is the BIA technology safe?
Yes. Bioelectrical impedance analysis has been used safely for over 20 years. The Hume Body Pod uses a patented frequency tuned for extra accuracy. If you have a pacemaker, check with your doctor before use.
Do I need the handheld sensor bar every time?
For the fullest, most accurate reading — including segmental analysis of your arms and torso — yes. A feet-only reading still works and is still far more detailed than a typical smart scale, but the handheld bar is what unlocks the complete picture.
Can more than one person use it?
Yes — each person logs in with their own Hume account for accurate individual tracking. Since it connects over Bluetooth, only one phone can be actively paired at a time; just open your app and step on to weigh in.

$229 at the current price, down from $349. That's a one-time cost — no subscription is required to use any of the 45 tracked metrics.
Is Hume Premium worth adding?
It's entirely optional, at $9.99/month, and adds a nutrition tracker, personalized coaching, and weekly full health reports. Every core body composition metric is already included with your purchase, no subscription needed.
Is it HSA/FSA eligible?
Yes, the Hume Body Pod qualifies, so you can put pre-tax health savings funds toward it at checkout.
Is checkout secure?
Yes — payments run through encrypted, PCI-compliant checkout. Your full card number isn't stored on our end.

How soon will it ship?
Within 1–2 business days of your order. From there, most domestic deliveries take another 3–5 business days depending on where you're located.
Is shipping free?

Is there a warranty?
Every unit ships with a 1-year hardware warranty at no cost. There's also an optional 10-Year Warranty for $46 at checkout ($70 if added later), covering the shell and every internal sensor, plus on-request recalibration service.
What's the maximum weight it supports?
The Hume Body Pod measures and tracks up to 400 pounds (about 181 kilograms).

Can I export my data?
Yes, anytime, directly from the Hume Health app. It's your data — export is never locked behind anything.
