Buying a body composition scale you can't test in a store first takes some trust. This page spells out exactly what happens if the Hume Body Pod doesn't work out for you.
You Get 45 Days
From the day your order arrives, you have 45 days to send it back for a full refund — for any reason, no explanation owed. It doesn't need to be unused or in its original box; we stand behind it even after normal use.
The Return Process
- Message support through the Hume Health app or the email on your confirmation, and let us know you'd like to return your order.
- A prepaid shipping label lands in your inbox within 1 business day.
- Box up the scale and the handheld sensor bar — original packaging isn't necessary.
- Drop it at any carrier location using the label provided.
- Once it's received and checked, your refund goes back to your original payment method, usually within 5–7 business days.
What Comes Back to You
The full product price. If you added the 10-Year Warranty at checkout and you're returning the device itself, that add-on is refunded too — it doesn't do anything without a scale to protect.
Who Pays for Return Shipping
We do. The prepaid label is free for any return within the 45-day window, as long as the order was placed directly through humebodypod.org.
Worth Knowing
- This guarantee applies to orders placed directly with us. Bought through a third-party marketplace instead? Start with their return process — we can't promise the same terms will apply there.
- Refunds go back to whatever payment method was used at checkout. We can't redirect a refund to a different card or account.
- Past the 45-day mark, a defective unit may still qualify for a warranty repair or replacement — see below.
Warranty Claims
Every Hume Body Pod carries a 1-year hardware warranty covering genuine manufacturing defects — things like sensor inaccuracy or charging issues under normal use. If you purchased the optional 10-Year Warranty, that coverage runs the full decade from your original purchase date, and includes on-request recalibration service if you ever notice accuracy drift.
To file a claim, contact support with your order number and a short description of the problem. Most hardware issues are resolved by shipping a replacement unit at no charge.
